If a thread has been deleted by a moderator, then chances are at this point in time it is because it is a duplicate thread. I come onto the forums and see the same topics repeated in multiple threads over and over and over again. Rather than keep things organised and restrict things to one (maybe 2) threads regarding a certain topic, people seem to think that spamming the same things more than once will get the job done. It wont. All it does is fill the forum with more than is required and pushes already established threads down the list.
Besides, I'm a Community Engineer and I'm starting to think that 343 employees don't read any of these threads. I'm also starting to think they have abandoned these forums altogether.
Here's a list of things I've noticed as a Community Engineer:
- Bravo, the community manager at 343, doesn't post here like BS Angel used to,
- The Forum Team profile has closed,
- Many mods have either stepped down or been removed (something I didn't know about until yesterday)
- Many of the duties I was asked to do as a Community Engineer have been removed without warning
- I no longer recieve emails from the person from 343 that I was recruited by (possibly left the company?)
- I haven't noticed any official repsonses from 343 employees in the forums for a very VERY long time
- People seem to learn more from NeoGaf than they do the official Halo forumsSorry to say but I honestly believe that posting about problems with the game here is more useless that talking to the wall. In fact you'd probably get more of a response from talking to the wall. I may get into trouble for posting this, but at least I will finally get a response from somebody instead of being kept in the dark as much as everyone else on these forums.
Hey
Just wanted to let everyone who agreed with my post about 343's lack of communication and more or less abandoning these forums know that I was banned for giving a brutally honest opinion of what I noticed was happening on these forums. There are so many hate threads on this forum where the Op's do not get punished, yet I got banned for giving an honest and candid thought that many people thanked me for.
- Phil
